Smoque Bistro

Hands down the best steaks in Bohol! The food is absolutely great and the servings are surprisingly big—definitely worth every peso. Smoque Bistro has such a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the staff provided excellent service from start to finish. If you’re looking for a top-quality meal in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

If you are looking to add variety to the dining options while visiting Bohol, this steak house is highly recommended. The staff is very friendly and the food is really good. This was our second visit and we ordered The Smoque salad to share, which is my absolute favorite, Salpicao, rib eye and short ribs with egg and kimchi fried rice. Even though we didn’t have reservations, they were able to accommodate us.

First time eating at this place and I heard some good things about. It did not disappoint Their service was impeccable. It was my first time in a place that would check in on you every 15 - 25 minutes to see if there's anything else that we might need. Our server saw that our water was low, he immediately got an extra bottle for us and cleared the other from our table. And the food. Just thinking about it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Certainly pricey but it is worth it's price range.

We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday here and loved the food. The 100g steak wasn’t available, so we had back ribs instead, and honestly they were some of the best we’ve had in Bohol, maybe even the Philippines. The quesadilla was amazing too. I asked the staff to sing a happy birthday song with the cake, and they were so kind, it just so happened I had to remind them while my boyfriend was sitting right beside me . Awkward, but he played along! Overall, a really nice dining experience.

I need to give a shoutout to Denis, our waiter for the night, who was so accommodating and personable you could see he really enjoyed doing his job. What he said hit the nail on the head, “Prepared with love and served with happiness”. Indeed! It was the best steak we’ve ever had! We’ve had steak in so many places that were 2x-3x the price, and this beat all of them. Melt in your mouth delicious. Worth every penny. We had coleslaw as a side and that was wonderful too, you could tell it was homemade. Overall, we always have a good experience with SMOQUE and the food never disappoints. This is a staple for sure. Other dishes we’ve tried in previous visits that you don’t want to miss: Calamares, salmon, salpicao, and Caesar salad! In the photo: USDA Angus steak

We had this place reserved for a wedding party, and everything was so delicious and tasty I've been to Bohol twice now (I live in America), and definitely the best place I've had food so far in Bohol! Would love to come back whenever I'm back in Bohol!

We had a great time dining at this restaurant, everything we ordered was truly enjoyable! The baby back ribs were a standout, generous in portion, perfectly sauced, and paired with a good amount of house salad and flavorful fries. The crackling pork belly was also impressive, with just the right level of crispiness, complemented nicely by the rich truffle sauce. We also tried the cheese puff barchow, which came in a hearty serving. It was delicious and went perfectly with their house marinara sauce, which we absolutely loved. As a nice touch, they also served soft bread at the table. The ambiance of the place is elegant yet welcoming, fancy, clean, and with a romantic atmosphere, making it great for both couples and small groups. There are plenty of tables and chairs, so seating wasn’t an issue. Parking is conveniently available right in front of the restaurant, which is always a plus. They offer a selection of cakes for dessert, a sweet finish to a satisfying meal. The service deserves a mention too, the staff were friendly and attentive, regularly checking in to make sure we were enjoying the food. Overall, we loved the experience and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!
